The story of one lateness

in #stranger3 years ago (edited)

There is a time difference of one hour between Kaliningrad and Moscow. Moscow time is always printed on train tickets. I knew about it after the story described below.

Many years ago, at a time when there were no bank cards, I used to spend all my cash on the last day of my trip. I was counting my last coins for beautiful postcards when my friend Irina called me.

“Our train is living! I can’t stop it! I tried try to discuss it with the head of the train and he said to me that every second of delay is very expensive”.

I was running very fast. When I saw the departing train on the platform, I felt confused and frustrated. I didn’t have money, and moreover, I had to receive the new transit visa for the new ticket. While I was thinking about it, the stranger took my bag and said: “Let’s go to catch your train!”. We ran to his car.
It was a very small and girly car with stickers in flowers. It was the car of his girlfriend, he came to meet her. Before that she had told him about her new boyfriend in Moscow, and my stranger was no longer interested in waiting to her.
I said “I have no money”. He asked proposed to send money to his phone. I think, my friend Alex from Yaroslavl was very surprised by the SMS with a request to transfer money to an unknown number. However, Alex sent money immediately! I have great friends.
Railways are much straighter than highways. Our mission was very difficult! Our little car turned into an airplane! We flew over the pits, drove off-road for the shortest way. After one of the police posts, a traffic police car followed us. We stopped and tried to explain the situation. The Driver was fined by the police two thousand rubles. He said that the speed was his choice, and I shouldn’t worry.
I am a true traveller. When he saw a stork or a beautiful castle - it was the first priority, we stopped there and took a picture. After that we drove even faster. We saw horses, scenic swamps, we burst into every station of small towns on the route of the train to Moscow. Everywhere we heard the same phrase: “The train has just left”.
The stranger told me that he had a dream. He dreamt of destroying the centralized financial system for the evolution of the soul. Amber could be a currency in Kaliningrad region, this stone looks like a bioenergetic cocoon. He showed me the whole bag of amber on the back seat.

We arrived at the border station. There was my train. Doors were closed, there was no pick-up or drop-off at this station. Litva was so close, in a few hundred metres. The border guards walked along the train with dogs. We knocked on doors and windows. All the staff and passengers knew about my situation. They opened the door for me. My new friend put a huge piece of amber in my hand. I got on the train and began to tell my story with hot eyes. While I was telling, the border guard came up to me. The dog was sniffing me for a very long time, but I did not open my hand.

The train departed.

I don't remember the name of my savior. I remember him as a mysterious stranger.
