Surrender (An Original Poem)

Shifting winds can water the eyes,
Blind the heart and soil the skies,
Cement the feet and bind the ties,
And hide distrust in disguise.

But one can rise upon the air,
Choose to chance and dance the dare,
Sing to spring and fall with flare,
And sail the soul to everywhere.

We cannot control the wind's direction,
But surrender to the flow,
And you'll know her affection.
