Help her understand
She was a pretty little thing, obedient to the last detail
She ran errands for everyone without complaint
He was a respected uncle and sent her on an errand, she obeyed as usual
He had asked her to get him a drink and biscuit
She came back and tapped on the door with her tiny hands, he beckoned on her to come in.
That moment she stepped in he shut the door and grabbed her to where he was sitting
He placed her in between his thighs,
She was scared
She couldn't shout as his hands were over her mouth already
What is going on was the question that ran through her little innocent head
She pleaded with the tears running down her cheek but he wouldn't let go and pressed his organ hard on her,
He had his satisfaction
He threatened her not to tell anyone
She kept quiet
He came in disguise of errands again but she refused only to be scolded by her elders and forced to deliver the errands
He had his way again
She kept quiet still
But her self esteem had been bought by the act
Her trust broken
She became a shadow of herself
She stopped running errands for all including her parents and siblings amidst the scoldings and flogging
Her picture of family love has been shattered
It's a cross she has learnt to carry, no wonder she grew up so fast and became her own confidant
Her childhood memories has been wiped out by the act
She's all grown, she survived tendency of promiscuity. Yes she did
The supernatural being caught up with her just before anything, oh what comfort she finds in the presence of her maker
Her salvation story has to be complete
She has to let go and forgive the perpetrator, herself and her family
Now she has to love, how does she tell him she was a victim
Her past comes rushing in
She's asking why it had to be her
She's asking why no-one cared to know why she stopped running errands
Why didn't someone just appear at the scene
How can she trust again
Help her understand
She needs to heal
The pictures keep replaying
Help her understand
Sometimes she might feel dirty and umworthy
It was never her doing
All she did was trust
Help that one person trust again
Help her go through the psychological trauma of having to tell someone for the first time in her life
Help her understand she can have the best
The need of every victim of sexual abuse is understanding, hope to trust again and believe in themselves
Don't stigmatize them
Love them
They are also worthy of being ur bride
They never chose that part
Protect every child both male and female around you
