Yanu, the dog, is nine years old and black & gray and was lost in the middle of last March and, despite the fact that its owners, placed a multitude of posters, they could not find him.

A few days after his disappearance, someone found the stray dog ​​and took him to Leganés kennel, where he escaped on March 26. Since then, its owners have not stopped looking for him.

The surprise came last Friday, when its owner found Yano, full of spikes and with small wounds, when he went down the stairs of his house. According to the protective association El Refugio, nobody knows where Yano has been these three months or how he has managed to return home.

From the municipal district, from where it escaped, to the house of the owners in the bogota, in the center of Colombia, there are more than 15 kilometers, the M-30, and numerous roads. "We could not believe it three months later, when we saw him in the portal we started crying with joy, now we want to enjoy everything we have not been able to do during these months," said Perin, the owner, caressing Yanu.

Do dogs have the power of precognition?

In 1995 the Lifebridge Foundation funded the studies of Rupert Sheldrake, Ph.D. in Natural Sciences and Biochemistry by Cambridge and Philosophy by Harvard, which would demonstrate that some domestic animals possess powers similar to telepathy.

Sheldrake investigated various types of animals but focused his studies on dog cases. It gathered up to 585 reports in which the dogs seemed to maintain some kind of communication with their owners. One of the episodes in which this case manifested most clearly was that they seemed able to anticipate the arrival of their owners at home with enough time to rule out that the canine smell - very developed, as is well known - intervened in some way. shape. In addition, Sheldrake concluded that routine was not the determining factor in many of those episodes. He also concluded that at least fifty-one percent of the testimonies requested would not be explained.

One of his investigations was conducted in London. He used as a sample element a dog called Jaytee that, according to its owner, had premonitory abilities. In the investigations also collaborated an important British newspaper, the Sunday Telegraph, whose editors participated fully in the experiment making the times, in addition, guarantors of the veracity of everything.

The study was carried out for almost a year, during which the dog was left a hundred times in a house that was not his but had visited on occasion. The owner came along with Jaytee, but then she left.

Eighty-five percent of the time, the animal approached the window in an attitude of waiting when its owner began the return to the house, sometimes to tens of kilometers.

In those reactions, distance did not matter. And it is that the anticipatory behavior occurred whenever the owner made the decision to return. There were no smells, no sounds, or anything like that that determined the change of attitude of the dog. According to Sheldrake, what it captured was the intention of the owner to return, since it manifested its attitude in the same moment in which the "master" decided that it was time to go.
