"Ose?" the elderly man called out instead, and both Chika and her mother stopped, shocked. "you know my mother?" Chika said with surprise in her voice.

"What happened to your eyes; and what are you doing here?" the man asked at once. Ose could never miss that voice, not even in her sleep.

"Ifeanyi?" she asked. "Ose?" the manager said. "is that really you?" Ose reached for the stranger and took his hands; she ran her hand through his arm to his face.

Chika looked confused, but she stepped backward. "ifeanyi, it's truly you! Buy why, ifeanyi? Why did you abandon your only sister?"
