THE IMPATIENT MONKEY

Olodumare, the great creator made all persons and animals. He made all things nice and elegant, in fact, His Majesty is unquestionable. He does wonder and all creation bows at the mention of his name.
On a good day, he was creating the monkey, the only work remaining was to clear the hair off the body of the monkey, so he decided to rest and continue the work in the next seven days. He warned the monkey never to leave the heavens till his body and other works had been completed.

The monkey was hearing the percussion of a nice music, he could not resist the temptation of the music; a party was going on earth, in fact, it was a wedding ceremony, the prince of the earth is getting married and the marriage will last for a week. The monkey peeped from the window of heaven and saw how the humans are having the fun of their lives. It was more than what he could withstand; he must find a way to leave heaven.

He found his way past the gate of heaven and after two days, he was on the party ground; the people were surprised to see a strange creature in their midst, the monkey became the center of attention of the party. More food and music was offered, the monkey was too carried away with the merriment that he forgot his days are numbered.

Search was going on in the heavens for the missing monkey, the gate guard were sanctioned by Olodumare. Oludumare sent his delegates to the earth to search for the missing monkey on earth. The delegates found him and took the report back to heaven. Olodumare was furious after listening to the report of the delegates, he banished the monkey out of the heavens.

The monkey was still having the fun of his life when the party came to an end. The monkey was chased into the deep forest because the people see it as an object of ridicule among them.

The monkey was devastated, he could not return to the heavens neither could he mingle with humans. He accepted his condition with good fate and made the forest his home, jumping from one tree to another.

All that glitters are not gold, some things that look nice from a distance are nothing but just mirage.

Impatience has killed many dreams and potentials. No matter how enticing the distraction can look it beneficial to remain focus. The time put into use has out way the one remaining to achieve the desired result, what you need is a little patience.
