Phantom - Chapter 2

Previously on Phantom;

She moved towards the bedroom and then saw a figure sitting on the bed leg crossed and back faced towards her still making the faint cry. She was about approaching the figure when the sitting room door opened and she turned around to see Greg coming towards her. She turned back to the bedroom and found the figure gone.

Chapter 2: The Encounter

Greg: Hey honey, what are you doing up in bed, you should be sleeping.

Ann: Did you see that!?

Greg: See what?

Ann: Someone was sitting on our bed crying

Greg looked at her perplexed;

Greg: Honey, there is nobody here.

Ann: I know what I saw Greg, am sure of it.

Greg: You're just tired from the journey babe, I totally understand, you just gotta get some rest alright.

Ann didn't want to press further, they haven't gotten a good night sleep with the preparation and stuff going on. She decided to give in and go back to bed but clearly in her mind, she was sure of what she heard and saw. Morning quickly came and the two couples were up looking around and trying to get use to the place. With the talking and laughing, Ann quickly adjusted and forgot about last night incident. It truly was a fun filled day, as time passed and before they even knew it, it was night time and so both couples retired back to the cabin to sleep. Few hours of sleep and Ann got up in the middle of the night to get a glass of water, on her way back to the bedroom she heard the familiar sound she heard last night coming from the sitting room. She walked towards the room and heard the faint cry, her first thoughts were to run to the bedroom to alert her husband to come hear the sound, but yet again she ignored and moved towards the direction of the cry.
On getting to the source of the sound, she found a young woman, probably the same age as her standing with her hair covering her face looking straight at her.

Ann do not consider herself superstitious, and never believed in those stuffs but here she was scared as hell looking at this mystery person. She didnt know what to do at that moment, she was in shock as the mystery woman was twitching and moving close to her. For some reason she couldn't scream out, it was like the figure had her under its control, the mystery woman who Ann now believes to be a ghost came face to face with her, making a strange sound and then saying "Get Out!" and just like that the ghost disappear and Ann was left breathing heavily trying to catch her breath. She didn't know what to do anymore, whether to wake-up Greg and tell him about the encounter but yet again he didn't believe her when she told him about the figure she saw so she doubts he would believe her when she tells him about the ghost. She went straight to bed, with Greg still fast asleep and she lay down eyes open still trying to understand what just happened.
Ann was up all night thinking and replaying the events that happened and it didn't take long for her to notice it was morning again and Greg was finally awake and getting ready to start his day. He noticed the mood Ann was in and decided to find out what was wrong.
Greg: Hey honey, what's wrong?

Ann still finding it difficult on how to tell Greg the whole encounter, simply replied;

Ann: We gotta get out of this house.
