Trump Undid Obama Rule That Added Mentally Ill People to Gun Check Register
Trump undid an Obama rule that would have prevented 75,000 people who were found too mentally ill and incapable of managing their financial affairs to obtain guns. What could possibly go wrong that some not sane enough to manage their financial affairs, but sane enough to own killing instruments.
I would love to know how thoughts and prayers are supposed to keep 75,000 mentally ill people from going on a killing range.
I’m strongly in favor of preventing the mentally ill from obtaining guns. And Trump made a big deal about mental illness in his speech yesterday. So I’m scratching my head as to why he undid Obama’s rule adding the mentally ill to gun check registries.
It started with him making laws that sounded like "high people" ideas.
Now it seems like hes analyzing each scenario to find the worst possible solution and going with it.
He insists that it is not about guns, but about mental health. However, he undid the Obama rule that helped to prevent people with severe mental health issues from purchasing a gun. In addition, his proposed health care bill would allow states to opt out of mental health coverage.

Although he supported that- it was the first bill Trump signed, the real hypocritical one is Chuck Grassley, who was the prime sponsor of the bill but said we "don't do a very good job" of getting them on the FBI list!! - of course we dont because of your bill Chuck
