The first is always special
The first day at school and college, first love, first date, first kiss, first job, you name it. Anything that is first is always special. This is because, we are not accustomed to doing it, and it is a real challenge to start anything new! The zeal one has while starting a new venture, starting a new life, is incomparable to those, that happen later in life. There is a mixture of excitement and fear at extremity, a usual case indeed.
When our mind gets used to activities in our life, it becomes casual, and does not remain as exhilarating as it used to be before. Our brain is built this way so is our body. Because the brain sends relaxing signals to the body parts when an activity becomes a casual one. I am sure you still remember the first time you smoked, the first time you consumed alcohol. You remember it simply because you did it for the first time.
And, you also do something that your parents do not give consent to. Recall the first time you went rafting, or for bungee jumping. Exciting, yeah? Though they are both thrilling experiences, in addition to them, the first time you did them will always be special.
Many of you would have given a treat to your friends on receiving your first salary, or given your first salary to your parents, or did something special with your first salary. This is the specialty of the “first”.
Let me give you more examples, suppose you scored a 4 GPA in a scale of 4, at first you will find it special and really satisfying. As you go on scoring 4, you will be accustomed to it, you will not find it as special as the first time you had scored it.
A first job interview, how can anyone forget that? You are worried, excited and do not know what will be asked, and how you would give your answers. This first interview can be an eye-opener to you. How well you can deal with persons even during stress, a platform to know yourself better.Whether it is a happy moment, or unsatisfying one, we always learn something from the first time things happen in our life.
Live the moment, feel the excitement, the way brain sends the message to different body parts during these situations is marvelous. You have to get your first going as far as possible, enjoy the first moment and learn from it at the same time.
