Happy 20th Anniversary 'Harry Potter'. Gee do I feel old...
WOW I really can't believe Harry Potter is 20 years old today. I remember my teacher reading the first book to me when I was in the 4th grade. As soon as I could, I had my mom pick me up my own copies. Then every time a new one came out she would wait in line with me to pick it up. Oh those were the days...
It might seem cheesy to say, but these books were a really big part of my, and so many others', childhood. I mean, I grew up with the characters as they were always around the same age I was when the books came out. And if you are someone like me, who loves to put your whole self into the story when reading, it's safe to say you feel like you know the characters.
(Not only that, but I have always had big floofy hair and my nose stuck in a book, so I always felt like I was destined to be Hermione.)
The books taught me many things about myself, and life. If you haven't read them I don't know how you have survived... Just kidding....... but not really.
Happy Anniversary Harry Potter, and thank you J.K. Rowling for 20 years of magic!

First of all, that's the sweetest that your mom would go wait in line so you could get the new Harry Potter book! I'd like to think I'm that kind of mom ;) And second, these illustrations are fantastic!!

I have a friend, who is just as huge a fan as us, who used to chase a cat with a stick whenever she saw one, pretending that cat was her patronus! OMG! Those incidents used to make me double up with laughter.. Still does..
Haha! Oh my patronus is definitely a cat! I have always wanted to get an Orange tabby cat and name it Crookshanks... maybe one day.
I guess I would like a rabbit patronus.. I'm not sure...
