As the evil wind kept blowing, Adaugo's eyes started turning into purple. Gradually, her five fingers reduced to three big fingers per hand, while her five toes reduced to two big toes per foot. Her long hair disappeared and she became hairless. Suddenly, a snake like tattoo came all over her, she started growing a tail, Just like that of a lizard but bigger in size. Her ears disappeared and golden bangles came on her wrists and a bit beyond her ankles. In her hand, was a golden magic ball, anybody she threw the ball at would instantly die and such a victim's blood will flow into the evil covenant pot in their kingdom. She was wearing a golden pant after she had turned into a monster and ready to kill Sofia.
Since Sofia's closed door was widely open, the monster seated on the bed in the guest room was ready to attack, it stood up and gradually moved to the corridor leading to the little girl's bedroom, the evil wind was still blowing and the wind kept flagging the curtain at the little girl's door. The monster was able to cause the little girl to fall in a deeper sleep. It drew nearer, rolling its tongue as though blessing a meal.
Immediately, it came beside Sofia's bed, it raised its hand up to throw the magic ball at her.
"Jesus Christ! " , a scream coming from the parlour. This scream interrupted the deadly assignment, the monster disappeared, and turned into the beautiful Adaugo, lying on the bed in the guest room.
Immediately, Sofia got up, her body had some marks, and those marks bled slightly . She looked around and got so amazed at who was it that opened all the windows and doors she kept closed prior to her sleep.
The scream was from Alex at the sight of the broken picture frames littered over the parlour. Alex was meant to go to work with a client's document over an unfinished transaction that worth some millions. On getting there, he discovered that he left the document on the table after they were distracted by Sofia's scream over seeing a snake in the guest room. For Alex, he was sure that Sofia did see a snake, but for Mike, it was a hallucination.
"uncle, welcome", the little girl greeted. She was not looking strong. Alex returned the greeting without looking at her as he was getting rid of the broken frames. Immediately he placed his eyes on the girl, he saw the marks, as though made with sharp metals.
"Sofia, come",
the girl came, he ran his eyes over her body.
"what are all these marks all over your body", he asked, looking at her and contemplating on what to do .
"I don't know. I just woke up and saw them, but uncle... " as if wanted to pass some useful information, Adaugo who was listening to their conversation from the guest room, charmed the little girl and the useful information disappeared.
"but what....? "
"I can't remember anything, Uncle I'm afraid ", she sat on the floor, looking at her slightly bleeding body.

Alex just couldn't return to the office since the little girl couldn't stay at home with their strange guest. He stayed at the orchard. When Mike returned, he was sad that Alex didn't return as he promised.
"You see your miserable life? You abandoned our esteemed clients to rest in this unproductive orchard. Alex, I'm so disappointed in you. How could you!? " Mike was burning up in anger as he approached the orchard. And the strange guest was listening from the guest room.
"Guy, you'll not understand ", Alex said, he lit up his cigarette, dragged it and pumped it out. He continued,
"sit down " and Mike reluctantly sat down, rolling his pen in sadness.
"Mike, it is true we have lost the contract. But we only lost a job not a life"
"what's your plan with your visitor? "
"she is not going anywhere until I find her something that she could be doing ", Mike replied, dropping his file on his laps.
"that girl is evil, Mike", as soon as Adaugo heard what Alex said, she charmed Mike and Mike got up sadly.
"I'm talking about some millions you made us to lose and you are here talking about helpless innocent Adaugo. You must be better called a big fool", Mike was fiercely burning as he climbed the stair case.
Later in the evening, Alex took Sofia to the hospital for treatment when they returned, they both met Mike with Adaugo in the orchard playing romantically. It was at this point that it became evident to Alex that Mike was already trapped. They never distracted their play.
At the dead of the night when Alex went to Mike's room only to find out he wasn't there.
"where is Mike!? "he thoughtfully asked. Immediately he passed through the corridor leading to the guest room, he heard a conversation,
"please stop crying. You are not going out of this home. I promise to make you very comfortable as long as you remain with me", Mike was assuring Adaugo who pretended to be crying.
"Alex, your friend hates me so much and wants me to leave you. So, I need to leave so that he will have peace ", Adaugo replied with pretentious tears dripping down her cheeks.
"stoooooop! Now, I will send Alex away. This is my house, not his. You are my guest and I want you to enjoy my home the way you like", Mike thundered and left the room, only to see Alex seated in the parlour, ready to leave the house that very night.
"Mike, you don't really need to send me out before I leave your house. Your guest wanted us to separate. Fine! But take a look around, all your picture frames broke in one day. You came in and pretended as though nothing happened. Sofia, your niece, had strange bleeding marks on her body, yet you didn't notice that. She told you she saw snake in the guest room, yet you didn't believe her. What the hell has come over you!? Just because of one cheap, mischievous, Only -God-knows fair stranger, picked from a lonely dark highway, we are collapsing our childhood friendship", tears trekking down Alex's cheeks as he spoke to Mike, for the first time with sincere regret.
Then, he picked his travel bag containing his belongings and opened the door,
"it is not my wish that I will leave you this way but need must when the devil drives. Don't worry looking for me. I took Sofia to the hospital, we came back with some home drugs, ensure she takes her drugs. Remember, she's the only one you've got, Mike", tears rolled down and wetted his shirt, he never bothered to clean them up, but turned to the little Sofia who was already in the pool of her own very tears. She never wanted Alex to go.
"my little baby ", he called her a pet name.
"just be a good girl "
"pray always and never cry anymore ", he touched her tender face and cleaned up her tears.
As he got to the door to step out, the little girl grabbed his leg, they both wept for a second while Mike stared sheepishly under a charm.
"Uncle Mike needed some privacy with his guest so I decided to go away. I shall see you again, if only I will" Alex said to the weeping little Sofia, and later, he overpowered the little Sofia and went away.
As soon as he got to the gate, he turned and looked at the window of the guest room, he saw the monster staring at him with a flashy purple eyes, rolling its bloody stained tongue.
For Adaugo, that night was going to be very bloody. She was determined to make blood flow into the covenant pot as many demons had been waiting for long with greater blood thirst. She turned to a snake and....................
