LETHAL DESIRES

...Zombies of their drive they become, seeking more and more each passing moment. Sadly, the appetite is ever increasing. "More, more, more..." They cry, as their insatiable appetite for their "sweet poison" grows. Adding fuel to a glowing splint, it kindles without control; feeding it only makes it stronger as it may consume its creator.
The more they feed this desire, the more they become weaker and more susceptible to its call as it becomes stronger.
And they are soon asked by those who care "Why do you keep doing this, why don't you stop?". A simple reply is often given "I enjoy it, its hard to stop".
This is very true, but little do they realise that sometimes, a poisonous meal tastes so good that you don't see the doom coming.
Often realizing how much of their time, money, purpose, attention, energy... has been channeled towards this path, just a few fall into regrets and begin their search for help out of their demeaning devotion, they often run to Clerics for Spiritual help. Many run into the wrong hands, they are duped of money!
They suffer frustration and are forced back to the path from which they tried to escape. They take these "substances" to distract themselves from reality. But the truth remains, it's harder to finish than to start...
