Mark Zuckerberg's enthusiastic lecture for young people
Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, who founded the whole world together. Recently, he returned to deliver lectures at the University of Harvard in the convocation ceremony. In this 30-minute speech Zuckerberg gave the necessary suggestions for the youth's success, as well as aware of the responsibility and duties of youth in today's modern world. Some important parts of the lecture were presented for school students for 10 minutes.
"First, I love this place a lot. Thank you all for being present here in the midst of rain. I am so proud to be among you all today, because you have done something that I have never done, and that is to finish my graduation. If I can complete my speech today, that's the first thing I have done in Harvard that I've finished. But my parents are most proud of me to be a Harvard University student in what I have done in my life till today.
I forgot to open my T-shirt tag during my first class day in Harvard. Everyone smiled at me but I could not understand why I did not understand. The survivor K. X. Jane, a boy named me wrong. From that day we are friends and now he is in charge of a large part of Facebook.
So, we all should be kind to each other and cooperate. I got some friends from Harvard for a whole life, so I'm grateful to Harvard. My congratulations to everyone present here today We are all of the same generation, so today I will talk about how our generation can create a new world.
I'm not the one to tell what your life should be like. We all know what is the goal of our own lives. But finding the goal of only one's own life in the present world is not enough. The biggest challenge of our generation is to build a world where every person has the ability to achieve their goals.
One of my very favorite is the fact that President Kennedy once went to NASA's headquarters to see a man standing with a broom hand. Kennedy asked the man, "What are you doing?" The man replied, "Mr. President, I'm helping a man land on the moon."
The goal is such a feeling that you will feel yourself part of something bigger than you. You get inspiration to do something bigger than your own. Your goal will give you real happiness. Having a good job at the time of our parents, being part of a good society was good enough for living.
But due to the excellence of technology in the present era, the job amount is decreasing day by day. People are suffering from more loneliness than before. One day I talked to the children of a drug cure center and realized that if they had a good goal, there would have been something to do at leisure, then they would not have had this consequences.
The biggest challenge of our generation is to create new jobs as well as create new goals in the minds of people. After sitting in a Duke of Harvard for the first time on Facebook, I told one of my friends, "Today we have gathered the Harvard community, one day someone will gather the whole world". I did not think that someone could be myself. But one thing was clear to me and it was time to gather the whole world.
The story of many of you may be just like me. There is at least a change in your thinking that you are sure nobody will bring it to the world, but they are not bringing it. Because you have to bring that change yourself. I never wanted to make a company, I wanted to bring a change. And I thought that the first people who came to work on Facebook had the same goal. But after a couple of years when big companies wanted to buy us, except for me, everyone thought that selling Facebook would be the right decision.
But my goal was not to earn money, I wanted to connect more people. During the next one year, most of the early Facebook activists left Facebook. After the establishment of Facebook, that time was the hardest time of my life. Because I was alone enough to get the whole world together.
At that time, I thought I was wrong, but now I know you have to risk taking a big change. So today I will tell you about three things that I think is the most needed to bring changes to the world.
1. The initiative should be taken:
Due to the development of automobile technology, our workplace has decreased day by day, which is one of the major challenges facing our generation. But there is a lot to do in addition to working at work. Every generation does something that makes them memorable. For example, our previous generation sent people to the moon, eradicating polio from the world. Now our generation has something to show. You might think you do not know how to change the world. But the funny thing is that nobody at the beginning knows how to change the world.
We can be the generation who will eliminate poverty and disease
The idea never comes to someone's brain. Starting with a small idea, it will grow slowly. So, take the initiative. If I wanted to know at the beginning how to connect the whole world, then I could not have made Facebook. So do not wait for your big and full idea and start working with your small ideas. As well as taking initiative, you have to be prepared for many misunderstandings, even people can tell you crazy.
In our society, we are afraid to take big initiative, because there is more chance of a mistake. But we should not stop because of the mistakes we made. This is the best time for our generation to do something. If we can stop it before the world becomes inaccessible due to climate change, how will it be? Or we can discover the healing of those diseases without the discovery of various diseases! Thus there will be no disease on earth, so our medicines will not be needed. In addition to improving the old invention, let's invent something new.
2. Ideas should be made in real life:
Our generation loves to take a new initiative which is very beneficial for our society. But a good initiative will be possible only when it is easy to make our ideas realistic. Facebook is not my first invention, but before that I have created many apps and games related to education that none has ever given importance to. J.K. Rowling was ignored for the Harry Potter series 12 times. After creating more than 100 songs, the music artist was able to publish her first song in Bean's. So, to achieve great success, you have to learn the techniques of accepting your first failure.
If we can not afford to make people's ideas realistic, we will all lose the race. We respect successful people, but we do not keep track of whether people around us can apply their ideas. I know many who are not able to utilize their great ideas, because they are unable to stand up once they fail. Even if Facebook had failed to stand up if I failed, then maybe I could not have given a speech today.
Not only can we succeed with a great idea, but we must ensure that we have the right environment to use the ideas we need to succeed. We should all extend our hands to each other so that they can actually transform their dreams into reality. Because more people can transform their dreams into reality, our world will go on as much as possible.
3. To work together:
As we said earlier, the biggest challenge of our generation is to help everyone find their own goals. To all I have understood the whole world. Many of the people here are from different countries of the world, even everyone has at least one external friend. We are not a citizen of any country or a religion, but it is our actual identity that we are a Global Citizen.
Each generation raises the range of their community, and now the whole world belongs to our community. The future of human civilization is now dependent on the people of all parts of the world working together. We can be the people who will eliminate poverty and disease. And we will get that opportunity only when we all can work together.
No country in the world alone can change climate change or other diseases, we must work as a global community to bring development. The United Nations is not required to change the whole world, for that we ourselves are enough. Our society encourages us to do great things and cooperates, in a word society gives us the goal. Sadly, people are losing interest in society every day.
But I know that we will be able to bring lost interest to society. I had a similar purpose during the establishment of Facebook. At a heart of Harvard, I tried to unite a small community, and now I'm trying to unite the whole world. All the changes in the world started in small areas. So our generation should aim to include all the people of the world in a community where there is a goal in everyone's life. "
