Reflections on My Life's Journey

in #story3 months ago

Sometimes, we take someone's words lightly and ignore them, thinking that they have no relevance to our lives.

Arround 22 years ago, a school principal said something to me that I deeply feel today. I keep thinking, 'If only I had taken their words seriously and made an effort to change myself, I wouldn't be feeling so lost today. However, there was another reason why I ignored his words, which perhaps became even more significant for me.

During my childhood, my teacher would often repeat a phrase that stuck with me: 'If the field doesn't yield sustenance for the farmer, burn every grain of wheat in that field.' means 'If you're facing financial struggles in one profession, change your profession.' I had ingrained this phrase in my mind, and as a result, whenever I started a new task and didn't see positive results after some time, I would start exploring other opportunities.

I've done many things in my life, and my goal for each was to succeed and provide for my family. I wanted to give them all the necessities for a comfortable life. This is an old story. When I was in 4th grade, i think i was 10 years I started working as a compounder in a clinic to pay my school fees. At that time, I didn't even know what a compounder does, but my goal was to arrange for my school fees. There i learnt about how to Give first aid to a patient , and about IM and IV .

Everything went smoothly for a while, but then I was transferred to a maternity clinic. There, I had to do tasks I never thought I would do, like cleaning the floor where a delivery had taken place just hours before, and there was blood on the floor. It had a profound effect on me, and even today, I feel queasy when I see blood.

So i left that job and After that, I became an apprentice to a painter and started learning painting work. My intention was to pay my school fees and help with my household expenses. I spent many years in this work because I had a keen interest in it. I didn't had any vision or guidance, i was just flowing with air. I just kept working until 2004 when I established my own Painting Shop. However, unfortunately, the new invention of Digital Printing started affecting the work of painters. Understanding this, I took a Mobile Repairing course along with my painting work and gradually converted my painting shop into a Mobile Shop.

Now I feel that I should have upgraded myself in my own ( Painting to Printing) field at that time. Anyway, at that time, there were no smartphones, there were only keypad phones like Nokia 3310 Nokia 1100 and I had learned this (Mobile Circuit Repairing) work very well, and people started recognizing me as a good mobile technician. After few years when smartphones introduced . I also started crypto trading. But again, bad luck struck, and my shop was robbed three times. And a person also stole my crypto funds. I was broken, and during this time, I joined Steemit and also got a job as an Art teacher in a school. I used to work full day at the school and part-time at the shop, and also work on Steemit.

Then the pandemic (Corona Virus) happened, and I closed the shop. I had no work left except Steemit and school. Three years ago, I left the school job as well because the inflation was very high and the salary was not enough. So i continued Crypto trading For 3 years, I've been passing the time like a player in a game of Snakes and Ladders. I work hard and move up, but then a snake comes along and pushes me back down. And this cycle continues. May be It's surprising that a person with so many skills is struggling for a betterlife at the age of 40.

I mentioned a principal's statement at the beginning of the story. He said that I don't have an consistent temperament at all. And that's true. I haven't done any work consistently. I kept changing with time, and that's why, despite having so many skills, I am unemployed today. Here, I would request all friends to keep doing whatever work they are doing consistently and work hard. Otherwise, you will regret it like me.

Stay safe, Happy, and Blessed!

We never know what is better for us and often we try to grasp different ideas and gain different skills. Even we could be very good in some field but the life and environment may force us to leave it and to decide to do something different.

It is good if we have time, resources for developing that but also some people who support us in those beginnings.

At least you definitely try yourself in different fields. There are definitely two things that you should continue Art and Crypto, actually three you are also very good in teaching, at least the way how you explain things and talk it is make people to listen and that is one of the feature of a good teacher. I hope you will develop that. At least on this platform we have potential to show up our skills and hopefully to gain something from our activities.

You're absolutely right! No one knows what's best for us, and hard work and dedication are essential. But seeking advice from people close to us leads to better outcomes. I've always been one to take the lead and rush ahead, but lately, I've started thinking before taking a step, which might be a good thing.

Your guidance has really boosted my confidence, and I'll definitely put it into practice . I used to be super quiet and introverted, but now I'm more expressive on Steemit than ever before.

Your art skill has always impressed me, and your explanatory style is even more amazing. You've earned my respect, and I wish you all the best and happiness in every aspect of life.

I really learn a lot from your journey. A hard-working man takes out from every difficult time. Everyone wants to grow in a particular field, but life decides what will be next. You have many things in your life that you achieved, and I'm sure that due to your hard work one day you will be a highly achiever.

Your good wishes and kind words are very important for my motivation. And a person has only one option - to keep working hard (striving). And I am doing that, INSHA ALLAH , I will be successful one day. The circumstances teach us a lot and in such times, we get to know who is with us and who is against us. Wishing you a great day.

Yes its true, in bad time you know the real faces of our friends/family. Being Muslim success is not only money so you have achieved success
