THE REWARD OF BEING GREEDY

The benefit of being greedy is lost opportunity.
Follow along ad I bring you another story.

Issa, a poor repairer lived alone in a small house. He was very serious with his job and since he was alone, his little earning was enough for him

One day, after work, he got so hungry, but he had no food to eat. Just then he saw a hen. He thought to himself, "this hen can make a great meal for me". He caught the hen. But just when he was about to kill the hen, the hen pleaded " do not kill me , I will help you."

He jumped up surprised that a hen could talk. He managed to ask, " how on earth can you help me?"
The hen replied: " kindly spare me, I am full inside with golden eggs, I will lay them all for you.

At first, he thought the hen was lying but the hen assured him and pleaded further that Issa should allow just one day to go by, that she will lay a golden egg for a start. Issa obliged her.

The next morning, Issa found a golden egg and the hen sitting beside it. " Wow you really can lay me golden eggs! I will keep you for myself," he said.

Issa kept the hen to himself, the hen always laid golden eggs for him. But he hid it from his friends. He didnt want to lose the hen nor that golden opportunity.

Soon Issa became very rich and people wondered about the source of his riches.
But at a point, he became greedy. He wanted all the eggs at a time. " I will kill the hen and get all the golden eggs,". He thought. This he did, he felt he had no need any more having to wait for the hen to lay the eggs daily. He needed quick money.

That night, he brought out the hen and killed it hoping to pack all the golden eggs and sell them off. But to his dismay, there was no golden egg in the hen. " What have I done, my greed has sent me back to poverty." He wailed. He didnt even eat the flesh of the hen. He lost everything

HOW DOES IT AFFECT ME, US?

Be content and grateful for what you have.
Do not become unsatisfied and absorbed in a desire to make quick money.
Are you faster than your shadow? Do you want to do for God what he ought to do for you,? The blessings of God, thats what makes rich and he adds no pain with it.

Do not allow the anxieties of life and quest to make it quick turn you into a greedy fellow.
Do your best, work hard and wait on God to bless you. If you are too greedy, you may be losing opportunities
