I've been musing about this same thing

The question we have to ask ourselves is...Do we want the mainstream media, using their tried-and-true methods of FUD and aims to manipulate people’s perceptions of our sector, to be the ones delivering the message or do we want people who actually have deep knowledge of the sector to help introduce cryptocurrency and blockchain to the world?

And it can't be helped but at least we the early adopters may reep some quanitifiable rewards from later adoption even if problematic. Also, I really hope that the infrastructure can maintain integrity for creatives and those who are using this tech for the greater good.
