Cut Nyak Meutia (Keureutoe, Pirak, North Aceh, 1870 - Alue Kurieng, Aceh, October 24, 1910) is one of the Indonesian National Heroes from Aceh. In the course of his life Cut Nyak Meutia not only became a family pearl and Village of Pirak, but it has become a permanent pearl for the archipelago.
The struggle against the Dutch began when Cut Meutia married Teuku Chik Muhammad or better known as Teuku Chik Di Tunong. But in March 1905, Chik Tunong was arrested by the Dutch and executed on Lhokseumawe beach. Before he died, Teuku Chik Di Tunong ordered his friend Pang Nanggroe to marry his wife and take care of his son Teuku Raja Sabi.
Cut Meutia then married Pang Nanggroe in accordance with her husband's will and joined other troops under the leadership of Teuku Muda Gantoe. In a battle with the Marechausée Corps in Paya Cicem, Cut Meutia and the women fled into the jungle. Pang Nagroe himself continued to fight until it finally died on September 26, 1910.
Cut Meutia then rose and continued to fight with the rest of his troops. He attacked and seized colonial posts while moving toward Gayo through the wilderness. But on October 24, 1910, Cut Meutia with his clash with Marechausée in Alue Kurieng. In the battle Cut Meutia fell.
