SPARROW VS BLUESEAL (INTERMISSION)

The JSS team had become a household name now, thanks to the mission that had introduced them to the world. Now, walking into the large compound and into the spacious and lavishly furnished living room, ‘‘sparrow and blueseal were greeted with a deserted room. where’s everyone”? Zac calls. Welcome home, Lieut Zac, son you made us proud, Mzee Mars said followed immediately by Mrs. Susan mars and the rest of the family. Everyone hugged sparrow and kissed Blueseal on both cheeks, even the 20-year-old Mariann did same. The family was a large one and that made Blueseal so uncomfortable. He wasn't used to multitude called extended family. Everyone sealed down, Blueseal was introduced to the whole family. Oh, Jake, I’d rather call you that Lindy Zac’s immediate younger sister said, we’ve heard so much of your bravery, how you saved my brother years back and that girl. He was different and he was going to prove himself to Jake. The following morning they were gone,each man to his base,each to his unit, each to his post. Zac made it a routine to call Jake, to make sure he could do his best as a friend. Days flew by and the JSS had a second mission to execute. They all gathered in the small hall to be taught as before. This time, the mission was gonna be tougher and each man was to prepare on how to cross the border into the enemy territory. They knew it was about life and death. This time no man was sure a miracle would take place because they were crossing into the enemy land. They were entering Afghanistan to rescue their Christian school girls and that meant war. Jake and Zac were brought together again in the same class by the mission. Zac was glad, at least,he’ll be working alongside Jake. He hadn't realized how much he’d gotten attached to Jake but he knew he loved and cared about this dude too much. On the day of their exit, Zac gave Jake an amulet, it was a twin amulet and was blurred to possess good luck charms. It was his own way of telling Jake he thought he was really his friend. Into Afghanistan they flew but couldn't land at the airport nor in any field as anyone would predict, rather, they flew past the country and landed at the border. There, the Navy had to help members of the air force swim across the deep ocean past a tunnel and into the underground room they were to inhabit. There, the squad started counting their days because not all could survive the war. After unpacking, the squad gathered and send a transmission to their commander of their arrival, then dressed like Muslims with fake passport and ID set out into the streets. The street were busy and so were the people so no one had time to even spare them a glance. Through the noisy streets, the voices and clamour of people could be heard. Rattle reaers seemed to be everywhere but they couldn't be distracted not even by the gestures of hawkers offering discount to pedestrians. Soon, they'd found the seven storey building whose whose seventh floor up had been abolished in the last bloody fight with the Americans. Snoopy, one of the JSS secret agent signaled blueseal and he whistled to spike, the geek who immediately transmitted a signal back and the team where separated. Blueseal went with scorn and at the back of the building they realized the security was tight with Cctv’s above and below, they'd need to get the Cctv’s disconnected. None of them knew ow so they went back to their hideout. Meanwhile, the other team had also made discoveries and would attack the following day. That night, they deliberated and made plans of attack. At dawn, the team set out again this time with bulletproof but without weapons. At the junction, separating the market from the T-sure mall, sparrow was confronted by a friend of his father whom he tried to avoid. The man knew him and immediately called him,they’d been discovered. What are you doing here? He asked, I came to get medicine. Oh, medicine and you’re dressed like………. Blueseal interrupted, he needs help,see we don't want trouble and your people don't like Christians, so we gotta do what we can do to keep peace. I can help the man said and took sparrow to a room where he interrogated him. In the room was another man, then another came in and another, Blueseal received the signal and bounced in and was just in time to save his friend from the predators. They'd been discovered and they had to keep them silent and sparrow didn't hesitate to slit their throat. The man escaped and made for his vehicle. The team were summoned and a new strategy to put in place, sparrow was going to stay home since he’d been discovered. He was furious, he felt useless, commandant Jose noticed and made sparrow go back to the team on the ground that he report their movement directly to him. From that day, every move made by the team came to aught. They were always shock that no matter what plans they made, the other team will know. Sparrow suspected Jose but couldn't tell the tram. He confronted the commandant, Jose only denied and said the team were just careless that's how the enemy got to know of their plans. How even told sparrow to watch Jake that he look suspicious. Sparrow thought its a lie, but on his way home, he saw Bluesea talking to one of the abductors. He thought it was just a plain to get words from the man so he waited till the conversion was over then went to meet Blueseal. They walked back together but did not discuss what had brought them out. At the underground house, the team were told they had two days left to execute the mission. They’d spent 12 days already. They were all restless. The next day,Sparrow had to meet Jose and there negotiations were made. He was taken to the Muslim society chief and the man only asked him to bring Jake and Moses Moore (spike) if he wanted to get information on the girls. He said he couldn't trade his friendship, not for anything. I know you wouldn't, you're just being stupid, you Zac, Jake would stop at nothing to get promoted again including selling off the entire team with you in it. Still need evidence? They brought out recordings of people’s voices. One was that of one of the abductors while the other “sounded” like Jake’s! Confused? Yea, I bet Zac was. Even Jake noticed but tried to convince the others that it weren't true. When Zac came home, Jake spoke with him and for the first time told him he trusted him and thought of him as a friend. Those words made no meaning to Zac the way it could have done of he hadn't been brainwashed. Zac told Jake he’d discovered where the girls were and would love to show him the place. I should alert the others’ Jake said almost breathlessly. ‘No, not yet less the place becomes crowded and we get noticed’. They set out the next day and Zac delivered Jake into the hands of their enemies,and there,Jake told Zac, I said I trusted you yesterday cos the rest of the team were doubting your loyalty but I believed you were different, why would you do this? ‘Because you started it’, was all Zac said before storming out. Spike was smart, he’d gotten Jake a recording chip and a detector so he could locate him and where he’d been taken so while the rest of the team went for the girls only to discover it was a trap. The girls were not in the seven storey building but were actually where the kidnappers had taken Jake to. Spike followed the trail and got to an abandoned warehouse then with a little metallic wire unknob the lock and got in. cautiously, he crept into the dark room and hid himself just in time before the torch light found him. He saw Jake amidst a large number of people that took him a second to realize it were the kidnapped girls. Were they this much? How would he rescue all of them without help? He creeped up and hid in a box which was taken into a truck along with the girls and Jake inside the large truck, he came out. Jake was glad to see him, there weren't much security there since they didn't thought of an ambush. They were going to sell the girls to the merchants at Arab. Spike told the girls to distract the man driving so he would stop the car and when it worked, Bluesal used the opportunity to jump into the car seat, spike grabbed the man’s gun, defenseless, the nigga tried taking to his heel but a sharp dart from the pistol spike had taken from Snoopy hit the man and sent him to hell. The girls were free and they had to go for their teammates. They helped the girls to the sea where the ship had been waiting to sail them across to where the helicopter was. The girls waved and prayed for them while the went back for their comrades. The team had walked into a trap and were caught, they were taken to the seventh floor they so badly wanted to invade and there,they were tormented from being electrocuted to been drowned. That was where commandant Jose revealed who he truly was,an undercover for the Muslims. He also revealed sparrow was his leak. That’s not true’,Sparrow tried to defend himself. Then tell the team how the Muslims always got to know of their plans and more so, tell them where Blueseal is. Didn't you trade him for power? Zac felt naked, he’d been deceived and had an innocent man walk to his death. Then he remembered Jake’s words that night “i trust you”. He prayed he was safe wherever he was. Just when it was his turn to be tormented, they men started falling one by one. Though the place was heavily guarded with eight men at each corner of the building and sentries on the top of the building. The team was surprised to look up and see Blueseal and spike. The gave them each their guns cos going out wasn't going to be easy. The was bloodbath as they came out as most of the squad members were badly wounded,gunshots here and there, men shouting, trying to dodge from hit by bullets and the escape. At last,they were safe. Nine Muslims down and six out of twelve JSS team wounded. Two declared dead before they could get back to the underground house. They other two had to be treated else they’d die too. The team had used the same tunnel they came from,so they sent the four wounded men with the dead ones first but before all could escape, their hideout had been discovered.Their hideout was bombed, Snoopy said he’d wait and distract the men while the escaped so the others swam out leaving him alone. Minutes later, gunshots were heard, yell and a scream resonated through the deep ocean and they feared for snoopies life. Just when they were about boarding the helicopter, a shadow was spotted far behind them. It was Snoopy,he had survived. Snoopy got in and they flew back home. Back home the corpses of the deceased were given honourable burial. Malt, the doc and monster the most muscular man amongst the team were laid to rest. They’d played a very important role in finding the girls. The rest of the team were honored but this time, spike got rewarded with promotion in the Air Force and Blueseal said he had no desire for power. He only wanted to serve. Sparrow felt so ashamed he couldn't walk up to blueseal cos he felt he had lost his trust. The trust he wanted so badly, he’d gotten it but had let it slip so fast without even realizing. He remembered Jake saying “Trust and friendship are what I can't easily give out.
