Kitty Love!!!! they looked so happy together. im sorry to hear of the loss your family suffered. some people don't understand the kind of connection which can be developed with animals as companions, it is something which can be taken for granted.

Thanks Cope! Love that story. I don't think you can mentally prepare yourself, and I don't think you're the same after. that's why letting anyone in is so terrifying. .

well we all do our best to prepare for these moments and as heartbreaking as they can be it is worth it in the long run to feel that kind of connection and bond with them. they save our souls as much as we save theirs ;)
