MY STORY:ABEL AND VALERIE (CONCLUSION)

Now Abel has another reason to look forward to the holiday apart from being away from school he hopes his newly made friends would come and spend their holiday with their grandmother. Sometimes Femi and Valerie would be around and some other time they wouldn't be and Abel would feel sad and lonely in such times when they're not around.

Years passed and the young kids had grown into adolescents which didn't make it any easier for Abel as it seemed the development hormonal secretions he experienced only amplified his feelings for Valerie. At this stage Abel had seen highschool teenage Hollywood movies where teenagers who were in love with each other were in a relationship. And this put thoughts in his head, thoughts of how he could profess his feelings of love to Valerie but at the same time the thoughts of rejection also crossed his mind  and he was discouraged. Abel was left with just one option which is for him to get close to Valerie which meant he had to remain a friend which he did. 

Years passed and Abel remained a very loyal lover in disguise as a friend. And it seemed the universe smiled at Abel when came to stay with her grandmother. At this point both Abel and Valerie were seeking admission into the university. And it seemed their friendship had moved to the next stage when it didn't mean a big deal when either by accident or by intent they touched their sensitive body parts. 

Then the big breakthrough for Abel came when Valerie was trying to convince Abel to become a worker in church. Abel asked Valerie what she'll give him if he agreed to her request. She paused for a moment and said she'll kiss him, on hearing this a million and one thoughts  crossed his mind, thoughts like can she be serious, what kind of kiss could she be talking about, I've never kissed a girl before will I be a good kisser?. Abel then agreed and Valerie kissed his forehead Abel not satisfied asked for a French kiss since it has always been his dream to kiss Valerie's really sexy red lips and she agreed. But before the kiss Abel came out clean and told Valerie  he had never kissed anyone before and Valerie said no problem that he should just let her do the kissing and he should just flow with the rhythm. And so Abel had his first kiss and he really enjoyed it. And from there on they kissed on different occasions. Valerie was Abel's first love and even after gaining admission into the university Abel never had eyes for any other girl and he couldn't wait to always get back home to see Valerie everyday. Nothing else mattered to Abel everything he did was for Valerie's satisfaction and like most love stories, their love was soon tested. Valerie had gained admission into the university the following year after Abel did and the university was far away from home and so the the test of distance set in as they only got to see each other once in awhile. Most of the communication effort came from Abel. With barely semester goon rumours started making waves and got to Abel that Valerie has a new boyfriend. 

Abel disregarded the rumours and didn't say anything of it to Valerie and he was hoping to see her during the holiday. Valerie came back for the holiday but something had changed about her, she had a cold reception towards Abel. Abel confronted her about her recent behaviour towards him and she said it was nothing that she was just stressed Abel being a sweet and naive guy believed her. Later that night Abel received a text message from Valerie telling him that it was over between them. The text message had a devastating effect on Abel that he couldn't sleep and also couldn't wait for it to be morning so that he could talk to Valerie face to face. In the morning Abel rushed to see Valerie but unfortunately Valerie had left for school earlier before his arrival. All efforts by Abel to reach her was futile as Valerie refused to give him audience or replies to his messages. Soon it dawned on Abel that all the disgusting rumours he heard then we're true and this left him devastated, heartbroken and scarred for life.

And from that day Abel was never the same. He became cold to love and was unable to trust anyone on matters of the heart.

Hopefully time will heal his broken heart.
