Sweet smelling flowers adorn my path as I walk a lonely road to a destination unknown. Enthralled by a mixture of the most beautiful scents, I am slowly drawn into a world of fantasy. The soaring mountains in the distance suddenly transform to magnificent castles, the lonely road becomes a busy city street filled with people, peculiar creatures, and the most fascinating scenes, a piggish woman complete with a snout arguing with a group of nonchalant gnomes, a shady looking salesman persuading a wide-eyed boy to purchase a basket of dragon eggs. None even giving a hint of apprehension to the anomaly in their midst, me. perhaps they had seen stranger things.
My eyes roved around the seemingly endless absurdities around me, and out of the madness, I spot a beautiful young woman in a red dress. Her eyes are an effervescent sky blue so pale I can almost see myself within them, she smiles at me and i am filled with happiness and warmth. As I walk toward her the scent of flowers return, I am slowly pulled back. The magnificent castles slowly become mountains again, and the busy street slowly fades back into a lonely roadside. With a sense of gratitude at an unexpected gift of love I continue my journey on the lonely road to my destination unknown.
