A Clear Victory 313 vs 1000 ??
<div class="pull-right"><img src="()
" /></div> - Tonight brings us to the 17th Ramadhan — a reminder of the battle of Badr — the first major battle fought against those who opposed the invitation of submission to one true Lord, with all His Beautiful Names and Lofty Attributes. It was ~313 Muslims against 1000 opponents. Despite the scarcity of their numbers and dwindling resources, it did not shake their hearts, fortified with dhikr with eman which no army could infiltrate.Their minds were driven by a vision to succeed and their heart's eyes were set on the highest station in Paradise. They lived a vision to serve Allah and to spread His message to the rest of humanity, desiring that every heart in every household should taste the sweetness of eman as they did. On this special night, Allah sent down an innumerable number of Angels to aid the believers to victory in this historical battle.
Lessons from this turning point in the history of Islam:
<div class="pull-left"><img src="" /></div>1) Allah's Favours upon us are innumerable, just like the extent of His Aid in the battle of Badr, responding to the Prophet's short yet powerful du'a with 3000 Angels! We may ask for something which is very small in His eyes, but He will always respond with something far greater and better for us. It is Him who can still rescue the weak from an insecure life of torment and misery if we continue to be grateful for His blessings.

2-Do not consider the "how" of your requests to Him, rather consider the magnamity of Who you are Asking - the Lord of the Heavens and the earth, the One who can make anything possible for you! Why does a servant place limitations in their requests, when Allah works beyond unfathomable boundaries!
3- If we work sincerely in His cause with a pure and selfless heart, His help will surround us with a blink of an eye.
4- We need to wake up and believe in the Truth, gather that unity, discipline and dedicate ourselves to the Prophet's message of mercy and justice if we want to become victorious. This begins by sharpening our moral compasses which should direct us towards loyalty and humanity for one another - traits repeatedly demonstrated throughout these golden times. Perhaps His aid will rain upon us with Angels again as they did then iA.
# Allah reminds the Prophet (and us), "For sure Allah helped you at Badr when you were utterly weak. Beware, then, of Allah; perhaps you will be thankful. And recall when you said to the believers: 'Will it not suffice you that your Lord will aid you by sending down three thousand angels?" ['ale-Imraan: 123-124]
