Story: Inseparable Love

It had been 3 years since the couple had been dating. Lily and Jason’s marriage was inevitable. They were the kind of couple that was still in love with each other. The kind who still went on fancy dates and still tried their best to please the partners in the best manner possible. But one day a drastic thing happened to Lily.

She was running across the road because she was in a hurry. A truck came out of nowhere and hit her. Everything went blank. Lily was transported to a hospital where she went multiple surgeries. Jason by her side as always went to the doctor a lot of times who promised quick recovery for Lily. To Jason’s distress, Lily’s legs had been impaired forever.

It was like hell for them. Every now and then Lily would cry herself to sleep. She even promised herself to let go of Jason. It was difficult for her to accept the fact that her perfect relationship had ended too soon. But she had to.

So Lily confronted Jason one day. She told him that she realised that it was normal for Jason to lose interest in her since after the accident. Any average person would do the same. She even told him that he could go to any woman he wants, be in a relationship as he likes as it was his life after all. But to her surprise, Jason responded strangely.

He took out a marriage ring and proposed to Lily. She was wheelchair bound at that time and told Jason that she did not feel like marrying while she was on a wheelchair. So she asked Jason to wait until she could get off of the wheelchair. She wanted a normal marriage.

So Jason promised that he would be by her side until she recovered completely. Months went by but signs of recovery were slow. Then one day, Jason came home from work, opened the door to find his girlfriend standing, waiting for him in the hallway. It was the happiest that the both of them had ever been. That is what true love is.
