Forest Jones, the Gnome
A Fantasy Novel
by John Doe
In a tent there lived a sensational, fragile gnome named Forest Jones. Not a sticky violent, dirty tent, filled with eyebrows and a fake smell, nor yet a sticky, moist, squat tent with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a gnome-tent, and that means shelter.
One day, after a troubling visit from the dragon Dan Sparrow, Forest leaves his tent and sets out in search of three urban sausages. A quest undertaken in the company of trolls, old folk and carefree pixies.
In the search for the dragon-guarded sausages, Forest Jones surprises even himself with his braveness and skill as a homemaker.
During his travels, Forest rescues a kettle, an heirloom belonging to Dan. But when Dan refuses to try rampaging, their friendship is over.
However, Dan is wounded at the Battle of Britain and the two reconcile just before Forest engages in some serious rampaging.
Forest accepts one of the three urban sausages and returns home to his tent a very wealthy gnome.
