What is the engineer's work (function and importance)

It is true that one of the most appreciated and known professions today is engineering.
Why? What are you exactly based on?
I mean that nowadays we owe the engineer all the social development (all countries or the great part have a history of it), it has facilitated our daily life in a great magnitude, taking care of human comfort since time immemorial. that is why today I come to pay tribute to such an incredible profession.
What is a Engeneer?
It is vital to know the definition, what is an engineer? It is a person studied that in this learning process is instilled moral and ethical values, stories such as: respect, love for their neighbor, humility, justice to do what is right. He has also been taught to be: Innovator, dreamer, creator, inventor and above all a person capable of solving any problem.
Ok, I already have an idea of what the engineer may mean, but what role does he have in society?
Having already explained this important point, I will say the function and importance of such a prodigious profession.
The function of the Engineer
The role of the engineer has been much more exercised in this last century, due to the great social and technological development we have had in this decade. The engineer is defined as a specialist who has been entrusted with the task of developing and applying technological knowledge. The product that the engineer creates / innovates / develops among others remains the total responsibility of the specialist.
What do you mean by that?
I mean that any product can be used in a way that does not cause collateral damage to the environment, another point is that natural resources can be used appropriately to meet consumer needs, as long as ethical and moral restrictions are considered, such as:
o Environmental
o Economic
o human
o Policies
o Legal
o Cultural
o Physical
The job of an engineer is to develop designs or create technological solutions to the changing social needs of today. Previously in the eighteenth century the work of the engineer in the industrial area was highlighted, today there are different branches of engineering, for example: civil engineering, mechanics, production, electrical, biomedical (consists of the application of medicine in search of welfare of man).
How interesting and important, now please explain two (2) historical events that have marked humanity by the engineer.
Engineers exercising their craft have been authors of creations of many technological advances, which has allowed greater versatility and ease in each professional area.
12 thousand years ago
A historical event was 12 thousand years ago when the agricultural revolution arrived that greatly modified the lives of people because they began to have an economic base and it was there when civilizations and urban cities began to be created.
Ok, but what does it have to do with the engineer?
¡EVERYTHING!, since the people who made that technological revolution were the engineers. It should be noted that the agricultural revolution taught in a more versatile way to master the use of seeds and learn the different ways of cultivating the land.
Industrial Revolution
Another great event was when the industrial revolution arrived, began the manufacture of vehicles, industrial machines, consequently, shortened distances much more, which replaced the agricultural field as a source of economy, then came with incredible speed to the massive urbanizations.
I did not know, a great technological breakthrough by the engineers.
I congratulate you, I see that you pay attention. The era of the engines was a great advance of humanity that until today is an idea that continues to be optimized and innovated year after year.
Importance of the Engineer in Society
It is important to clarify that the engineer is vital in society if we want to advance and evolve more and more. However, the engineer has a great burden with the company at present, since we are in a community where improvement, innovation and comfort are sought for time to time to the high demand of it.
I do not understand
Do not worry, I'll explain. Like the previous thing, the engineer has another load that takes the dream from the engineer and is what motivates the effort in the process of manufacturing the product. It is the legal burden that involves taking a new product.

I explain myself better, the responsibility that the engineer has in comparison with other professions is higher because the product is in view of everyone, they are materialized, step by step to the full opinion of others. The product simply can not have errors, it must be tested, find even the defect of it, it is a fault search, assured that said product is not used in an improper way, it is necessary to guarantee the quality of the product. Simply the engineer can not deny what he did, if the product does not work, he is condemned for his career
