How Do We Cool Down? 110-115°f for California in the next 2 days. (Excessive Heat Warning)
As Southern California reaches into treacherous temperatures, people look for anything to cool off. The beach if you're lucky, but most people resort to their own house's hose for a day of yard fun and sprinklers.
Well, not everyone has that liberty. Some people where at work; at the mercy and will of nature. Today, nature was unruly, she was hot tempered some would say.
As the heat wave took everything out of me, I sat and watched this fountain. It started to morph before my eyes. No longer was it a fountain in the public. It soon became a my only inspiration at the moment. I pondered it's continuous flow of cool water. Entranced, all I wanted was to become one of these particles of H2O. Let it cool my body all over, no longer suffering from the blistering heat.
Time even started to hold itself in place. I yearned so much to escape this heat, I was literally stopping time to become what I wanted.
No longer was I at work.
Did I transcend?
Why did the flow stop?
I could only imagine that I was hallucinating. You know, like those who wander in the desert for to long with out fluids. They become dehydrated and hallucinate.
Could this be what happened?
No, I don't think so. I wouldn't be hearing reality calling me back to place.
I then realized where I was again.... work.
Oh, well back to it I guess.
