You have me at the edge of my seat, brother! Damn that cliffhanger!! Haha! The tension's so palpable you can cut it with a knife. All of this was just interaction between two people. The shifting emotions were depicted so masterfully. You just keep on topping your previous effort, my bro!
I'm just so drawn in to this series. If I wasn't already a fan of yours, this would surely cement my admiration of your writing style. Truly magnificent!

Yeah, this next chapter turned out to be quite exposition heavy so I had to chop it down hence the cliffhanger, lol! But the next one should hopefully provide a good payoff so my fingers are well and truly crossed! Again, bro, you simply echo my sentiments about you and your work. Your artistic merit is well up there, believe me. So I see you and I journeying together as writers on the Steemit platform.
