The first time I kissed her, I felt my soul flutter like a butterfly.

in #story7 years ago

She had come for me to help her with her project. I looked at the papers she brought and feigned interest while thinking what move to make to get in bed with her.
"I think I understand what you aim to do here". I pointed at the work. " How about you leave it here so I can wrap my head around it tonight then you could come tomorrow and see our progress?" She agreed and made to leave.

I sat still. She walked to the door and turned, "are you not going to see me off?" I said no. "I can't find my way around this place alone."

Night was already descending hurried by the lingering deep clouds that accompanied the heavy rain that was now a drizzle. A shadow of its former self.

I moved from the bed and sat on the edge of the table, my voice trembling with calm deepness as I began to speak. "So you just came and you want to go?" I pulled her closer. "Do you know how long I have dreamt of having you this close?" She folded her hands across her breasts. "...and now you are being defensive." "I'm not." She said throwing her hands down. These were the last words I recall we said. These things happen by themselves.

We began to kiss. A long passionate kiss. I unhooked her bra with my right hand and felt her breasts bounce with weight on my left. I fondled. I pressed. I sucked. The lady I have been crushing on for over three years now--in my arms? I could swear I entered the promised land Moses only saw.
I was filled with a sense of satisfaction. I closed my eyes and relished the ultimate gift of God-- the body of a beautiful woman.

Soon, she was in her natural wear and in the dim light of the room, I saw beauty sparsely matted with fur. "Oh..." My voice shattered within me. I stopped to savour the express image of God. I waited. A hallelujah song frothing in my heart; then a sensation of unease throbbed in my head. I turned and saw my father watching with eyes unblinking. I removed the framed picture from the wall and turned it face down on the sofa more out of deference than out of fear. Then I let myself go.

She opened for me like the rising sun. We beamed and heaved and worshipped. When the transfiguration was concluded, she shined like light and was soft like the morning. We fell apart drifting off into a deep sleep.

Suddenly, I felt the earth quaking under us disturbing our rest. I opened my eyes to contain the situation. I saw my niece standing over my bed. " You were talking in your sleep." "What!" I sat up. "What was I saying?" " Nothing discernable. You were mumbling and grumbling." I sighed.
" I checked my WAEC result yesterday. I could not tell you because you came back late. I have cleared my papers." She sounded excited. "You promised to dash me your phone if I did."

I collapsed back onto my bed and savoured the radiance of the Saturday sun streaming in through the half closed blinds.
"Later."
Under the duvet, I felt a congealed patch and from the wall opposite my bed, my father watched with eyes unblinking.
