NOT EVERYTHING CHILDREN'S CHILD LONGER
One day I was driving with some friends. In almost every crossroads there is always a bunch of people. They are singing, begging, carrying feathers to clean car windows, selling newspapers, and so on. I think it has become a common sight on the streets.
At one of the intersections, when stopped due to the red light again, a friend suddenly commented,
"The people are so lazy.they should be able to work normally, instead of being lazy to beg people. "
Comments are also commonplace. They look healthy even though filthy. Spontaneously I lowered the windshield. I called one of the other boys who were approaching with the bottle cap.
"Brother, my friend is gonna talk," I called.
My friend was shocked. A bulging look contained threats directed at me. But he repeated the curse. With a more polite sentence, of course.the teenager calmly reached out his hand in the car and said,
"If you can give me a job ... anything ... cabutin grass, take care of the garbage, clean up the wc ... I'll do it for you."
In front, the green light is on. No more time for chatting, discussion, or meetings. I put two fifty metals in his hand while saying goodbye and pull.
As I drove, I felt the teenager's words strike my mind. How often I personally generalize these people.being on the streets is lazy, does not want to find a decent job, does not want to work hard, chooses an easy way to earn money, and so on. A verdict that seems too early. It could be from among them there is such a thing. But, there must be also people who have tried - in their way - and always meet a dead end.surely there are also really urgent and the streets to be a solution
I remember my children. Most of them are on the streets not out of laziness. Some run because they are not recognized as children by parents. Some parents are too poor to support too many children. Some have no parents. They work on the streets to keep eating. Gratitude if you can still from the school ngamen.I knew two or three kids who were out of school and busking for school fees for their younger siblings. The streets are the solution for these people. But all the facts have not yet converted my perception of life on the streets
