A mixture of a man and a lizard
This had to be a man and a woman, already old, who had no children, and wanted to have one, and asked God to give it to him, even if at eighteen he was devoured by a lizard. Some time later, they had a son, who had a sign on his forehead saying that at eighteen he would be devoured by a lizard, and his parents tied a cloth on his forehead to cover the sign. When the boy was sixteen, when he came home, he always found himself crying with his father and his mother, and the boy told him why he cried. The parents did not want to tell him; But one day they said to him:
"Look, my son, is that when you're eighteen, you're going to be devoured by a lizard. Take and look in a mirror at the sign on your forehead, which we have always had to stop people from knowing.
He took off his handkerchief, looked at himself in the mirror, and told his parents that if they cried, they would not cry anymore.
When the boy was seventeen, he told his father to get him the best horse he had on the block, that he would go out in search of the lizard so that the lizard would not bother to go after him. The father did not want to give him the horse; But the lad took one, rigged it, and marched through those worlds in search of the lizard. Since he was walking for many days, he found a very small casina and in that house called and did not answer anyone, but an old woman came out and said:
"Where are you walking around here, that human people are not around here?" Enter, enter the house, handsome.
And the next morning, after breakfast, when the waiter was leaving, the old woman gave him a small box, and there were three pills in the box, and he told her that Those three pills were three dogs, which were called a Gold, another Silver and another Copper, and said that they would serve him a lot.
And the lad went away and walked a long time, and found a large mu river that the horse could not pass, and the horse was frightened. The young man looked back and saw a large lizard, a young man who had become a lizard the day he was born, and who would not regain the form of a man until he killed him.
Then the young man pressed the horse to pass the river, and at last it happened to him, and to the other shore a house was found. He called her, and after much calling, they said to him,
"What brings you here, lad?"
"There are lizards that are raised by these lands," he said in a youth. And the woman, who was the mother of the lizard that the lad had seen, and who had once been a young man like him, went in with the porter to the house where her husband was, and she took a pitcher and a long rope, And told the husband to pick up the servant and the beast, that she went to the river. When he reached the river, he saw his son who was on the other shore and could not pass because the river was now carrying a lot of water and when he was turned into a lizard he did not carry any. The mother called the son, threw one end of the rope, she kept the other, telling her to grab it, to see if she could cross the river. And throw, throw the mother from the other end, until it has passed the son, and the mother said:
"What holy will you have of the hand, that instead of you having to go in search of the young man, the latter has come to fetch you home?" The boy is already home, tonight you kill him and tomorrow you are a man.
The woman went to the house and asked the boy where he wanted to sleep, and the boy answered her wherever she wanted, and she placed him in a room where, next to the bed, he had a large drawer, where his son lizard. He also asked the waiter what he wanted to have for supper, and he replied that what was to her seemed to her, but that she should take four. She, of which he said this, was frightened, saying:
"You'll be four?" The young man went into his room to eat dinner, and asked the woman if she had a key to the door, to give it to him, and the woman gave it to her. When he went to dinner he took out his three dogs, and they were caressing him, and when he finished his dinner, he took a cigar and asked the dogs where they wanted to go to bed. Gold said with his hands on top of the drawer. Silver, the same, and Copper, than on the bed, at his feet. The young man went to bed and slept very well, and the mother of the lizard all night spent by the hole of the llavera, to see if his son killed the waiter.
The lizard all night was raising the drawer lid up and wanted to make room to get out, but the dogs would not let him out. The waiter awoke in the morning, was picking up his dogs and when he left, the owners of the house were up.
