In Brendan Dassey's postconviction hearing the first witness called was Ken Kratz. He makes a face to the judge as he approaches the stand. This episode is hard on the Brendan interrogation. Steven Avery's case was heavily forensics based. Brendan's? Words and words only. It is fascinating how Nirider compares Brendan during interrogation against the Reid technique that law enforcement is trained in to show Brendan exhibits characteristics opposite a guilty man.

The constant insistence by Fassbender and Wiegert(F&W) that they already know what happened obviously leads Brendan down the road of guessing as to what they want him to say. While he denies his involvement he guesses at Steven's involvement in the crime to square the circle as to what F&W "already know."

The "either or" questions infest the interrogations. "Did you want to participate in the rape, or did your uncle force you? The suggestion is, if you choose the less heinous version, that you will be treated more leniently," says Drizin. Questions are not, "What did you do?" but rather "What did he make you do?" This is not fact gathering, it is fact making by framing of the questions.

"They wanted this information in the worst way. And they got it in the worst way." continues Drizin.

Pause. Brendan is an idiot by definition of the word. Look to previous episodes as to why we mention this not out of cruelty, but to explain why nothing he says should be used for matters of importance.

Unpause. So when you tell a clinically defined idiot that you already know what happened, and then ask him what happened, and then refuse to accept any response he gives that doesn't fit your narrative, well, then, you just might be a corrupt asshole. In other words, anything he says that doesn't fit your theory must mean he is lying, which means the idiot will search further into the vacuous nether reaches of his incompetent mind to come up with an answer that satisfies you. So he can go back to class because he has a project due. At this point he is willing to say what you want to get back to school, because you told him you are on his side and already know what happened. In his flawed mind whatever he says that doesn't get him back to class must be wrong. Then, after he gives you the "truth" you go ahead and arrest him, because, well, he knew that was gonna happen, right? Notice every time Brendan points a finger at Steven it is because he can only assume Steven did everything he(Brendan) didn't do, because F&W "know everything that happened."

When his mom enters the room Brendan says, "they got to my head."

The Kratz press conferences continue. He details the prosecution's interpretation of the "confession" de facto trying Brendan and Steven in the "court" of public opinion, aka a conviction via mass media.

Kathleen says that this could have survived the Wisconsin justice system is shocking, further showing extreme prosecutorial misconduct is her aim.

Hood Latch

The hood latch of the rav4 only contains Steven's DNA, no one other's. Once again cleaned before planting. No fingerprints. And the DNA was in quantities according to saliva levels, not sweat levels.

All the hallmarks of an innocent person are further proven by brain scan technology by Dr. Fallwell and his brain fingerprinting testing. Steven was enthusiastic to subject himself to the test. He passed.

Here Kathleen delineates her objectives: new evidence that shows the verdict was incorrect; evidence withheld(Brady Violation); and ineffective assistance of counsel. She says an evidentiary hearing is almost like a second trial, sans jury.

How unlucky can Steven get? After judge Willis retires the case cannot go back to him. Unfortunately it goes to an Angela Sutkiewicz. Uh oh. Again, he gets another judge that has ruled against him in the past. And this is not a normal human being. How these creatures gain the bench is beyond us.

We Like Dogs.

After the rav4 is found all the other investigations, if any, grind to a halt and all focus shifts to the Averys. The scent dogs go right straight to the bone burn site at the quarry. From the quarry they go straight to the car. This evidence was withheld. They are not tracking bones, they are tracking her scent, What was she doing there? Cars that were blocking the path into the Avery property through the opening in the bern were pushed inwards. This may be the origin of the damage on the rav4.

Look at this. Uh oh.
