I'm Being Legally Threatened - What Do?

The Story So Far:

I'm apparently being legally threatened by my ex girlfriend's mother, after she heard from her son, who heard from one of my "friends" regarding how I'm supposedly degrading my ex girlfriend's appearance despite me and my ex being completely fine and in fact friends?

I'm quite confused myself, and I've never been legally threatened before, what should I do?
Just wanted to let out some feelings over here since doing this on Twitter will get me a lot of flak from my friends and her mutual friends, and her mother as well.

All the mother said was:

All I asked was for you to respect my daughter. I'll see you in court!

What should I do now? Please leave your opinions, questions and replies in the comments, thanks guys..

Wait and see if she has the capacity to sue you for something;
Go back 3 or 4 days prior to her "offer" to see you in court and write down all the facts;
Describe your ongoing relationship with the mother for further evaluation.
