The Story Of The Eagle
Once upon a time, there was a bird called eagle. It was the most revered land bird at that time. He defended all the bird kingdom from her enemies. The eagle continued to do this without asking for kingship or any form of position of authority.
He was blessed with both strength and good look. The duo served to make her a power to overcome in the bird kingdom.
This was rather the problem of the eagle. In spite of all her defense of the bird kingdom from her enemies without asking for anything in return, she was envied and maligned by other birds that felt threatened by her prowess.
It came to a point that the biggest land bird, ostrich, became envious and challenged the eagle for a fight. The eagle was not willing to do this because she was very humble and loving and never saw any need to fight fellow birds.
When the arrogance of the ostrich became too much, the eagle agreed to the match with the ostrich. On the d day, the eagle battled ostrich to a point that the ostrich fell and lost consciousness. The eagle carefully removed all the feathers from the head to the base of the neck of the ostrich amidst cheers from other birds.
After this, the eagle told the birds that she was withdrawing all the free services she was rendering as a land bird to the kingdom. She announced her intention to become a bird going only in the air and at high altitudes where the ostrich will never dream to come near.
This the eagle did and that is why till today, the eagle lives and flies athigh altitudes. This is also why the ostrich do not have feathers from head to the base of the neck.
The moral of this story apart from what has been stated above is that people will hate you for any reason they deem fit. Never wonder why you are hated. Just concentrate in doing good and what is right.
