Inspiration story of a man who constructed a small village for more than 60 earthquake victims family without any media publicity
"Where there is will, there is a way" - all we need is passion and continuous effort.
Dinesh Tamang, a 36-year-old man of Dhading, have shown the nation with his remarkable work. The picture above is a glimpse of a small village called Namuna Basti. With 4 rooms each, 26 houses were created in AaleGaau, and 29 in Bhuwalepaani by him. He was neither a businessman nor a famous person, he had a vision of supporting the earthquake victims and so he did. With his sole and continuous effort, he gathered help from social organizations and corporation and created a small village of 55 homes for the earthquake victims in 16 months.
Those houses built in remote district were then handed over to the earthquake victims of RubiVyali and KapuraBasti. After the great destructions led by earthquake of magnitude of 7.8 in april 2015, the people of those places were living in the tent. Even after two years of devastating earthquake ,the nation haven't been able to provide much support to those earthquake victims. But the story of such great and kindhearted person amuses me makes me feel a great responsibility towards the country.
This was how the village was made
After hearing that devastating earthquake had destroyed the whole village, Dinesh Tamang returned his village immediately. With the rescue team he reached his village and took all the victims to the hospitals.
Looking for the support, he met a Canadian lady Bonnie Kyapsino. He explained the disastrous condition of those victims to her. 16 years Canadian lady then started making money in her country through earthquake support campaign. The money worth twenty nine thousand dollar was collected from the campaign. She gave the money to Dinesh for the support of earthquake victims.
With that money he bought some land in Bhuwaalepani and AaleGaau. These were the places where victims of earthquake have been living in the tent and now it has became a beautiful village of 55 homes.
To build this village, various organizations including Mountaineers for Himalayas Foundation, The Salvation Army, Child Heaven International, and many more from Canada and Nepal have contributed economically.
About Dinesh
Dinesh was also from those Nepalese who got narrow escape in the devastating earthquake. He is the elder son of a poor family. He is from the remote village called Lapa of Dhading. He studied in the school of his own village and passed SLC in 1997. He couldn't afford for his higher education due to poverty. He gave SLC at the age of 16 and after 5 years he joined health association. He is now 36 years old and has a wife and two children.
Couple of years have passed after the disastrous earthquake. Two million people were affected in some way by the magnitude-7.8 earthquake. People lost their homes, loved ones and livelihoods. A rescue is yet to be cover up in some places. While the situation still looks miserable, the story and works of such great person amuses me.
A great salute to Mr. Dinesh and many others like him!
