The following story was performed spontaneously, in a single take, by Corban Lawrence Groshek, the then-5-year-old son of Chilling Tales for Dark Nights creator/director Craig Groshek.

Corban grew up surrounded by all things spooky, and perhaps loves scary stories and Halloween more than his father himself.

Recently, Corban was inspired by behind-the-scenes footage of the actors who helped bring his favorite animated movies to life, and for the first time, Corban began to show interest in voice acting, and in performing for his dad's project.

Corban would appreciate your feedback and comments on his story, which he came up with on a whim and allowed his father to record and share with you.

Once upon a time, there was a man.

He heard a oooooooooooooh sound. He looked up in the sky, and there was nothing there.

He felt something on his back. He looked behind, and there was nothing there.

He felt something on his arm, and there was nothing there.

He felt something touching his head. He felt something touching his face... and he just kept walking.

Then he felt something on his nose. He felt something touching his hands.

He felt something tap, tap, tap, tap tapping.

And then he saw a walking, white ghost!

He ran, so fast! The ghost kept running at the man. So he ran into his house. He ran upstairs into his room. And then, when the door was locked, he covered himself with his blanket.

The ghost, he was climbing up the stairs...

Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap.

The ghost, it had sharp claws, and it had one of its eyes popped out. And one of its arms cut off. And he had no hair, and one of his lips were cut off, and one of his parts were falling off, and he was bloody.

It went through the door!

The ghost, it saw the person in the blankets.

The man, he heard the tap, tap, tap, tap, tapping again.

The ghost, it ate him!

And that was the end. His whole body was gone. His head... was the only part left.
