WE REMEMBER

We shall never forget to remember
how like war coverings we were used as human shield
how like stretchers we convey them across miles
How like canoe with paddle them in transatlantic
vogages
How our mothers were turned into sex objects
and our fathers mellowed like obedient subjects
how our homes were obliterated
and and our Sahara was turn into nuclear sites laboratory

We shall never forget to remember
how they mould defiance into our eyes
and how our conscience was murdered
how our streets were peopled with the corpse of our outspoken clans men
for they said we were never meant to resist their author-realties
they promised us freedom, but all we got was free-doom
all they made us was freed-dumb
they made us one divided bodies
filling our clans with the petal cans of blood
the tears of innocents haunt our existence
for we were too weak to resist their strength
because they came to us with masked intentions
our soil was of value to them than our existence

We shall never forget to remember
how we were made to fight their own wars
how they suckled from the unrounded breast of our maidens
how our noses were blocked with the puff of their cigarettes
how our youthful greens were murdered on the alter of defiance
how our clan's voices were silent by the loud report from the nozzle of war machinery
they came to us with a gun and the Book of laws
and all they made of us was a united fractured body
submission to their command was doing the will of Gourd
resistance was heresy
and I asked did we not bleed red as them?
were we not created by the same gaud?

Two thousand years we are still their slaves
caged in a translated form of slavery
we toil for their reaping
we plant while they harvest
we sell for their profits
we trade with their coins
we sing their hymns and worship their gods
Oh for our gods were dead when we were being slained
Oh our river goddesses could not capsize their large vessels
our lives do not matter on the pages of history
Leopold murdered us and became a saint
Hitler murdered them and was made a demon
and I ask, do we bleed red as them?
We were meant to serve our gauds in France, UK and the States
truly a Black man is a bLACK man
though you kill our conscience
though you kill our mothers
but our memories don't die
