Story about Hachiko

Today I will write about a dog named Hachiko.Last night my girlfriend @blueorhid and I watched a film about that dog and that gave me an idea to write a story about that dog.

Name of the film is Hacho: A dog's tale. It was filmed in 2009 and the main characters are dog Hachiko and Richard Gere who acts a dog owner.

Hachiko is Akita dog. This breed of dogs is coming mostly from Japan. Today we have some Americans Akita but they are much different then Japanese Akita.

This dog is similiar to husky dog but they come only in yellow or white color. Akita can be very dangerous dog if owners don't work with them. They are really powerful dogs and they can be very agressive to strangers. Also, they can be very protective to their owners and they are behaving like a regular part of a family.

In history, this dog was a hunting dog. They ate very strong. There are informations that they even hunted bears and deers. A lot of historical people wanted to make some crossings with Akita, so they try to cross them with German Sheperd and some other breeds.

Story of Hachiko

Hachiko was a dog who was born somewhere in Japan before World War II. This dog was accidentally found by his owner in 1924 at the train station in place called Shibuya. His owner, Hidesaburo Ueno, was a professor in Tokyo. He was professor at the University where he was teaching agriculture. When he found dog he couldn't resist him so he brought him home.

After that, they became best friends. When Hachiko grew up he started to follow his owner Ueno to train station every day (Ueno was going by train to work) and that was happening for more than one year.

One day, Ueno died at job and Hachiko was waiting for him on the train station. After this occasion Hachiko went every day for nine years and waited for his owner on that train station. After a couple of months, Hachiko became an attraction. Many newspaper from Tokyo and other cities in Japan started to write about this dog. Hachiko died in 1935 when he was 11 years old. He was found on some street at Shibuya.

After death, he was cremated and he was buried at cemetery in Tokyo. Hachiko became a sensation in whole country, but that is sad to me because this dog was sad. A lot of people think that animals doesn't have feelings but I think they do. It is obvious that this dog knew that his owner will not come back, but he waited for him for nine years because his owner was his best friend.

There are a lot of statues of Hachiko. Today, at Shibuya station stands big bronze statue of Hachiko which was made in 1934. Also, station entrance is named after this dog. There are many statues of Hachiko in many museums in the world and there are a lot of movies, series and books about this dog.

This is both sad and beautiful story to me. When I watched the movie and read a story about this dog, I felt sorry for him, but also I felt happy because people can have best friend in their dogs. I have a dog and sometimes I think that he understand me and I feel like I can talk with him. Everybody who has a dog needs to be kind and careful to them.
