EXTREME THRILLS IN CARACAS METRO/RAT FLASH

Caracas metro, 6:10 am on a monday. The platform was extremely crowded, hundreds of people standing there. My friend Angelo was at that platform waiting for the train, which arrived fully packed, just like in India. As he couldn't get in he decided to travel in that small space between the wagons and took that risk in order to get to his job on time. So Angelo grabbed firmly to a metal bar, and the most thrilling travel in his life started!

He described me that experience as terrifying, extremely noisy, horrendously dark, dusty and very dangerous because that little space between the wagons shakes unpredictable, specially in the curves at very high speed, and it's pretty unstable. Apart from that he told me that he saw some sparks in the distance, on the railway, which actually were rats that got electrified. Scaring rat flash!

After three or four stops the guardians stoped the train and called him to step out there. He was strongly warned not to do that again, because his was putting his life at risk.

Even more amazing was to realize that he couldn't arrive to his job on time (by the way, to earn only 3 $ a month)...
