Visit to the Cathedral of Terracina, with the students of the secondary schools

For the second consecutive year, the project called "Dialetto mio Diletto" was completed in collaboration with the middle school, where we try to bring our cultural traditions of dialect and history of our city to the new generations.
We have brought students to visit the cathedral of Terracina and the whole historic center.
The Cathedral of San Caesareo, located on the Emilian forum, dates back to between the fifth and sixth centuries, built on the remains of a Roman temple and restored over the years up to the present day.
On the right of the architrave, we can see a beautiful mosaic representing some scenes, probably linked to the first crusade.
A peculiarity of this place is that here for the first time there was a conclusion outside the Vatican state, in fact Pope Urban II was elected, who called the first crusade.
On the right side of this beautiful square, we can see an original stretch of the Appian Way and next to the 13th century Palazzo Venditti.
This is a wonderful scene, many painters come to paint these places and I in the evening, especially in the summer I enjoy the view, eating a great ice cream or drinking a glass of wine with my friends, delighted by the fresh air from the sea arrives on and from the moon watching us from above ....
