PHONE QUEST •-• PART 1

Hello steemians,
I made a post last week where i outlined my posting plan for the week,and i also enlisted some contests that i will participate in,but i couldn't fulfil this obligation because i fell ill once again

Am much better now and here I am!!...today I will just like to share my thoughts with you guys as usual,am going to relate a page i found intresting in the book of my life to you guys...read on☺

As human biengs,we all have our natural endowments and things we like and things we dont like,as a young boy,I didnt like almost everything,i hated to talk to people,have long conversations or interact with strangers and i was alone all the time but the truth is, I really loved the way I lived my life

It felt so peaceful and much more better as i didn't care much about what other people think or get involved with people to know friendship and betrayal were soo real,i kept on going on like that until one faithful day.

My dad was a geographer then, so he travelled quite a lot,if i can clearly recall,he travelled at least 2 times a week to various parts of the state to complete some assignments.He came back from one of his journeys in a white hilux jeep and we all welcomed him with warm hands.

I heard something ring in his pocket and he dipped his hand in his pocket and brought out a phone (one of the first versions of the NOKIA model )I was more surprised when he pressed a button and started talking to the device

At first,I thought he was insane or joking but i realised that he was actually talking to someone and was getting a reply from the conversation..at the end of the call,he explained what a phone was and I was like wow!!!..this is amazing

He said "I just had a business conversation with my client who resides in lagos(a busy state in Nigeria)" a phone eliminates the stress of taking a long walk or journey to visit a friend or do minor stuff,after the short conversation with my dad,my mind whispered some thoughts to me

Hey! you can talk to people from a long distance and make long distanced friends,I loved the thought and I started working towards it,I wanted a phone of my own so badly but my wish couldn't come true as phones were very expensive at the time

I tried all possible means to get a mobile,I saved my money for food as well as money i got from visitors when they came to visit us but it was just too way expensive,but i didn't give up...i just kept on saving.

Then one day,i felt like my wishes were finally going to come true,my friend in school told me his dad bought him a phone but he didn't like it and needed money which meant he wanted to sell the phone,we agreed on a price i cant remember now but it was pretty cheap,we made an agreement that i will pay half of the money when I get the phone and the other half when i have confirmed it to be working perfectly fine.

The next morning was an awesome one for me,i got up very early in the morning and was so full of life as i couldn't wait to get the phone,I kept on counting my money to be sure its actually complete as i didn't want anything to go wrong.

I hit the road and in some minutes i was at school,I saw students getting ready for assembly but i couldn't really focus on al that,my undivided attention was towards looking for my friend who promised to sell his phone for me

After a lot of walking here and there,I finally found my friend in his squeezed uniform as usual...i said hey......TO BE CONTINUED
