Watch as the sky becomes invisible. Cloudburst rolling in. The city disappears.
Storms come and storms go, but when you are twenty floors up, you can see where the lightning strikes, and you can see the visibility wane as they roll in.
I see attention spans decreasing in today's fast pace rat race. Devices take up more of our attention than the real world. Everyone that you have ever known is in your pocket and they want out. They want your response and they want it now.

block it all out clear your mind and relax - just for a moment...
I won't get out of bed for a storm, but I will listen to the ground shaking crack as air hits air. If it is daytime and especially if I have several telegram, whatsapp, or text messages coming in, I will grab a seat outside under the eves and just relax. Watch the power that nature wields.

Thinking back. I used to get a phone call or text and the first question was, "Hi, did I catch you at a bad time?" or "Hey, Are you busy? Can you talk?" I miss that.

I had to take five. it's relaxing watching the the storm roll in and I love the power of lightning.
Of all the places i have lived, this is the best over all to watch lightning. It is so relaxing to see the show. The smell changes and I just want to sigh.
God's power is evident in the storm, but He is also in the cool of the evening. I also remember the days when people would knock before entering and ask before starting a long story about their day. Very funny video.
yeah, attention span has disappeared. People are so involved with smartphones and all the information coming and going sometimes you being the consumer of someone else's productivity.
Its so amazing to suddenly break the cycle and just relax.
Btw i always tell you, "Hey, Are you busy? :P

it's what we go through every day as people pop into our lives and we have to stop and take time away from the kids or work. No good.

That's still the first thing my mom asks when she calls me. It's actually kinda nice because then if I'm in the middle of something I can tell her that, but ask quickly what is happening. Takes away some of the awkward conversation when you really need to get going, but they're not catching on.

That's what I ask everyone when I call them. You never know when you got them mid-diaper change, while cooking, or getting stopped by a cop. You just never know.

That's true, although they really shouldn't be answering the phone when they're getting pulled over by the police. That's basically on them. The diaper change thing, I could understand though.
Sure, I like chatting with people. It's hard to have a conversation, but I still enjoy a good back and forth. :)
