STONE Update #6 - December Week 1
What's up STONEr's! Time for another update and we have lot's to share. We know it's been quiet, but you will be glad to hear there is consistent progress.
Highlights
If you are part of our Discord you have probably noticed that our most lively channel is #github. @Creatrixity and @Sirfreeman are heavily working on the frontend of STONEm, our masternode hosting platform. Look for some videos soon highlighting platform functionality you guys can look forward to!
Make sure you're participating in @DJStoned bounties. We will begin a much more in-depth marketing effort soon as we progress with the infrastructure development, but in the meantime, feel free to share the project with your friends, play games, or listen to music in the discord to help the community thrive. Without you guys we won't get very far, so let's make it happen!
Development
Anyone in the discord is well aware of the latest updates to the front-end Github. These updates are to build a solid foundation to correct issues and ensure rapid development. We already have our test server up and running, so we should have some video highlights as soon the flow starts to take shape. You can view the hard work Creatrixity and Sirfreeman have been putting in at Codeclimate.
The other component of STONE development will begin this week; implementing tiered nodes, a fix for the masternode bug and various other improvements. Understand this is a hard fork. That means we're risking having to pay Crypto-bridge and may experience bugs, pool forking, etc. We will give ample time for users to switch in an attempt to make the transition as smooth as possible, but we know how these things go.
Unfortunately, we did not acquire help for the implementation of tiered nodes from the Utopian bounty posted by @Helo. We did get some upvotes, but it appears the Blockchain dev community might be hard pressed in the bear market. If you know anyone that would be interested, send them our way. Otherwise, as mentioned we will begin the transition internally.
