STONE Update #5 - November Week 2
Hey STONEr's! We apologize for the delay in updates, but we trust you will greatly appreciate and understand why we took some necessary time. A lot of parts have been moving with STONE and we are very excited to share our progress!
Highlights
Our efforts with social presence on @Steemit and @Utopian-io have proved a success! We proudly present the addition of two very talented front end developers to the STONE team, @Creatrixity and @Sirfreeman!!
We are also very proud to announce, along with the addition of the two front-end developers, we have decided that the STONEm platform will be an open source project! We feel this is by far the best situation for the long term health and security of STONE. More under development..
We have also decided that we WILL be forking the coin to complete some maintainence components and correct the masternode disconnection bug once and for all. An exact date for the fork has not been set. More under development..
Development
Development is underway for STONEm the front-end platform. Our final version will incorporate a robust REACT stack that will be mobile friendly. This way users can set up nodes extremely easily right from their mobile browser! We are very excited to showcase our progress and CryptoTYM will be releasing a video or two throughout the development process, so look out for those. The repository is available on the official STONE Github.
After long deliberation, we have decided to create the platform as an open source project. The key important factors are for the longevity, sustainability and security for STONE. This will allow the community to add really great features such as discord intergration and usability and security enhancements. Basically by making it open source we are ensuring STONE lives up to its name and stands the test of time!
As a side note, we will be implementing some upgrades such as the tiered nodes and the masternode banning with a full hard fork. If you were around during the last fork, then you know this is an arduous process. It will take some time and we want to get it right. CryptoTYM will do his absolute best to avoid exchange fees, but there's a chance we may need to come up with Bitcoin in order to remain listed on Crypto-Bridge. We've also took on a known dev as a consultant with potential for full team addition in the future. More to come on these announcements as they develop.
