Nine o'clock flowers (Portulaca Grandiflora)
Dear steemians. .!
I took this photo today in front of my house, this flower has just grown and each color has only one flower
Flowers that have the Latin name Portulaca Grandiflora Hook are flowers that come from South America such as Argentina, Brazil, and Urugay. Because of its beauty, this flower is spread all over the world, including Indonesia.
In my area in Indonesia this flower is called the ten o'clock flower or the nine o'clock flower.
Why are there two names, namely the nine o'clock flower and the ten o'clock flower. Exactly, I don't know, but most likely it's just the time difference between the central/eastern and western regions of Indonesia, in the central/eastern region it is often called the nine o'clock flower and the western region, Sumatra generally calls it the ten o'clock flower.
It is called the nine o'clock flower because the time of blooming is in line with the stimulation of the rising sunlight around 09.00 WIB.
The nine o'clock flower is an ornamental plant with beautiful and striking colorful flowers.
