To answer it in short Its YES.

Shareholders are the owners of the company in the simple definition. However, based on your country of residence and the nature of stock you hold your ownership will be valued.



There could be multiple shareholders of a company. One who holds most of the shares derive maximum benefit out of the ownership. Your holdings decide your ownership benefits.


The shareholders collectively have the right to elect directors, vote on major corporate actions (such as dividends, acquisitions, mergers) and they share the profits of the company.
