The difference between a Trainer and a Walker in STEPN.

I have a father-in-law who is doing his daily 4 Energy walking with STEPN every single day. He is using a Trainer at level 9, but it doesn't give much return, especially with the low GST prices.

But, today I was wondering if it would be worth selling the Trainer and buying a Walker instead. As far as I can see, I can sell the Trainer at 2.6 SOL, and I can buy a level 27 Walker at the same price. Is it worth it?

If I look at what I will get in return, I definitely have a better shoe with higher GST income, and also better Comfort, Luck, and Resilience values with this setup. In other words, this do sound like a smart thing to do.

The only problem is that I will have to repair the trainer before I sell it, and the HP points will actually cost me quite a lot to fix, and that is something that I do not feel so cool about.

What do you think?

I know see that to restore the HP of the Trainer sneaker I will probably need 30 GST and a level 2 Comfort GEM, or 100 GST and 10 level 1 Comfort GEM. If I look at the math, it is cheaper with a level 2 Comfort GEM.
