Science day in Switzerland is dedicated to Ex-Indian President, APJ Abdul Kalam
Switzerland has announced May 26 as the Science Day to pay tribute to going by President APJ Abdul Kalam.
This was declared by the Swiss government, following his landing on Wednesday night on a four-day state visit, thinking about his immense mastery in science and innovation.
Switzerland considers the President as the father of India's' rocket program.
Kalam is the principal Indian head of state going by Switzerland after a hole of over 30 years. Previous President V Giri's' was the last prominent visit to the nation.
President A P J Abdul Kalam was in France for 45 minutes. Kalam first went by the CERN's' offices arranged in Switzerland and after that crossed the outskirt post to see the lab in France, where Indian researchers are doing research in Large Hadron Collider (LHC).
He spent about 45 minutes connecting with them and senior researchers of CERN there before continuing for seeing the consenting to of an arrangement between the Department of Atomic Energy and the CERN.
CERN authorities said they had educated the French experts ahead of time about the prominent visit.
CERN, the world's' biggest material science research facility, is together possessed by France and Switzerland.
