Steemvoter help wanted: looking for a senior web developer

It's been a busy summer for all of us in BuildTeam as we work to lay the foundations for our new organization: bringing new team members into the fold, establishing global lines of communication to stay organized, and ramping up development on our major projects.

I'm sure many of you have been wondering when we're going to start implementing more cool features for the Steemvoter.com web site. Although we've already done a lot of work on the back-end, most of that isn't visible to end users and the web site itself has been stagnant since early this year. Well, wonder no more! We have a wish list a mile long, put together from user feedback and we're chomping at the bit to start making those wishes come true. The time has come to kick Steemvoter development into high gear!

But first, we're missing one key piece of the puzzle: a senior web developer to lead the charge!

Steemvoter Needs You!

Job Description: We're looking for a passionate, creative web developer to join our team and specialize in building out the Steemvoter.com web site. This person will interact with other devs via Discord chat and take direction from our CTO, @cryptomancer. Progress will be tracked via github issues (we have a private github repository that hosts the Steemvoter web code).

Primary responsibilities will include bug fixes, usability enhancements, and adding new features to make voting rules more flexible. You can expect to do a lot of user interface design and tweaks to existing web page layout. We have a couple of very big features coming down the pipeline, including custom voting guilds and trails, which will make up your first major projects.

It's important that you be able to work independently with only a little guidance to set you on your way. You must be able to learn the codebase quickly as you will be thrown into major development tasks early on.

The work will be challenging but a lot of fun, and you'll get the satisfaction of having a direct impact on thousands of users who rely on Steemvoter for their daily curation needs!

Requirements: an ideal candidate will have several years of experience in the following areas:

• DoneJS & Node.js (Steemvoter.com is built using the DoneJS framework)
• JavaScript
• PHP
• MySQL databases
• Github (branches, pull requests, general familiarity with how to use a repository)
• Good team player

In addition, we would prefer someone who is already a Steemvoter user and has a solid understanding of how the service works. That will give you an intuitive feeling for new feature specs and aid in coming up with your own ideas to improve the site.

Compensation: BuildTeam has a payroll structure similar to your average corporation, except instead of traditional fiat remuneration, we compensate our staff with our own cryptocurrency called BUILDTEAM tokens. Holders of BUILDTEAM tokens are able to bid for a percentage of the company's profits in a monthly auction process. Bidders are rewarded with Steem on a proportional basis depending on how much each participant bids. Our first auction earlier this month was a huge success - auction participants earned 1.7 Steem for every BUILDTEAM token they bid.
