You're right, it's not a one-click fire-and-forget type of tool, you do have to put some effort into learning how to use it effectively. But I think that's a good thing; auto voting should be something that's more of an art form than a science. And experimenting with your voting rules, tweaking them to see what works & what doesn't, is a great way to get familiar with some of the more nuanced aspects of how Steemit voting really works.
