My home town is Galle.Galle is a city on Sri Lanka's southwest coast. It is famous for Galle Fort, a fortified old city founded in the 16th century by Portuguese colonists. The Dutch built stone sea walls that encircle car-free streets with architecture that reflects Portuguese, Dutch, and British rule. The 18th-century Dutch Reformed Church is one of the city's most notable structures. Galle Lighthouse is located on the fort's southeast corner.
